The State-Tribal Relations Committee (STRC) is a liaison with tribal governments in Montana and encourages state-tribal and local government-tribal cooperation. STRC is the only bi-partisan committee this interim, according to Senate Bill 176, and has a total of 10 appointed legislative members.

STRC’s first meeting is July 19^th where members will discuss the committee’s assigned study, House Joint Resolution 1, and decide other topics for the interim.

STRC’s statutory duties are in 5-5-229, MCA.

STRC members include: Sens. Bob Brown, Mike Fox, Jason Small, and Susan Webber, and Reps. Tony Brockman, Joe Read, Tyson Running Wolf, Lola Sheldon-Galloway, Frank Smith, and Sharon Stewart Peregoy.
