The Water Policy Interim Committee (WPIC) serves as an interbranch body that analyzes and advises the Legislature on the adequacy of the state’s water policy and on important state, regional, national, and international developments that affect Montana’s water resources.

WPIC’s first meeting is July 24^th where members will discuss the committee’s assigned study, House Bill 520, and decide on other topics for the interim.

WPIC’s statutory duties are in 85-2-105, MCA.

WPIC legislative members include: Sens. Willis Curdy, Bruce Gillespie, Walt Sales, and Jeff Welborn, and Reps. Bob Carter, Jill Cohenour, Marty Malone, Russ Miner, Bob Phalen, and Kenneth Walsh.
