The Local Government Interim Committee (LGIC) is a liaison between state and local governments across Montana. The committee serves to provide a forum for discussion on a variety of topics, as well as promote and strengthen local governments and encourage intergovernmental cooperation.

LGIC’s first meeting is July 12^th where members will decide on topics for the interim.
No studies were assigned to the Local Government Interim Committee.

The committee’s statutory duties are in 5-5-232, MCA.

LGIC members include: Sens. Mary Ann Dunwell, Russ Tempel, Jeremy Trebas, and Terry Vermeire and Reps. Larry Brewster, Tom France, Steve Gist, and Greg Oblander.
